Its wide usage for much of the 20th century in dwellings and public access buildings also makes it a potential risk to the general public unless it is carefully managed and handled by experts.
In 2006, the Chirmarn Group celebrated 30 years on the front line of asbestos management in the North East of England. Coincidentally, it is also celebrating the successful completion of the first phase of a two-year development programme that has impacted on every aspect of its operations.
